The Cuban group Septeto Santiaguero will present live their latest album Y sigo pa’lante, a collection of  hits from its 10 previous records.
Septeto Santiaguero is one of the major exponents of traditional Cuban music, and the best example  example of its transcendence and popularity. Founded in 1995 by the band’s leader and maestro of the tres guitar Fernando Dewar, Septeto Santiaguero currently consists of eight outstanding musicians whose careers were forged in musical sanctuaries such as the Casa de la Trova and the Patio de los Dos Abuelos. The group’s artistic growth and international positioning was particularly noteworthy starting in 2010, and it continues to maintain its vitality.
In 2011, 2012 and 2015 Septeto Santiaguero won the Cubadisco award, and has two Latin Grammys, one for No quiero llanto. Tributo a Los Compadres (2015) and the other for A mí qué. Tributo a los clásicos cubanos (2018). They have performed all over the world, including Japan for the first time this year, including notable collaborations with famous salsa stars such as Rubén Blades, Gilberto Santa Rosa, José Alberto El Canario, Cheo Feliciano and Ismael Miranda.
