Caríssimo is a show (and a record released in 2023) with fundamentals of flamenco classicism written with renovated languages to elevate the music over different horizons. It is an example of the constant regeneration of Juan Ramón Caro’, a free spirit of guitar playing who has succeeded in adapting to the poems of all periods and the forms of flamenco with which he has coexisted over the years. The first time he did so was to take up the baton of a classical sonata in the midst of a revolution and most recently when he culminated this last album which flows through the confines of the most contemporary creativity.
In Caríssimo Juan Ramón’s guitar playing appears in all the facets of accompaniment, resources, concerts and study he has cultivated throughout his career. All of the compositions are original and include different styles such as rumba, tango, bulería por soleá, sevillana and tientos.
Juan Ramón Caro (Barcelona, 1972) is a contemporary flamenco guitarist with a modern style respectful of  tradition, a virtuoso of the three aspects of the instrument, namely playing for dancing, singing and as a concert soloist.  He has performed around the world in the most prestigious scenarios, including the Palau de la Música in Barcelona, Teatro Real in Madrid, Carnegie Hall in New York, the Forum in Tokyo…and in Paris, London, Moscow, Zürich, Chicago, Buenos Aires, Helsinki... as a soloist or accompanying other artists such as Enrique Morente, Miguel Poveda, Duquende, José de la Tomasa and Mayte Martín.
