TULSA

With guest artists

In her seventh studio album, an album that has earned Miren Iza the latest National Prize for Contemporary Music, Tulsa immerses us in a series of compositions that reflect, head on, on the daily violence in the world of women, on pain and inequality. Tulsa, and her band, invite us to reflect on love, motherhood, friendship and identity thanks to a bouquet of songs that ride between musical and scenic language, and which are a reflection on the world of women's everyday violence, pain and inequality.
Miren Iza (Tulsa) is a Basque composer and singer who began her career in music in the late 90s singing in English with the female punk pop band Electrobikinis. After they split up in 2002, she began writing songs in Spanish and in 2007, the year in which she was nominated for a Latin Grammy as a new artist, she presented the first of seven albums she would release under the stage name of Tulsa.
