Caratuerta the Pirate kidnaps little Princess Linda. To recover his daughter, His Majesty King Simpatias will have to give him a sack of gold coins. But the wicked pirate has planned to keep the gold and…the Princess as well. Once again, the children in the audience will have to help Peneque el Valiente save Princess Linda.
In 1959, Miguel Pino combined a beautiful story and puppets in the production of Las aventuras de Peneque el Valiente [The Adventures of Peneque the Brave]. A pioneer of modern puppet theatre, he took these cardboard and felt characters from town squares to large theatres. One generation after another, the children in the audience shout “Peneque Peneque, where are you?”. This year his magic will come back with Miguel Pino’s children, who have inherited their father’s art.
