Three prisoners are immersed in a complicated dispute. One’s stubbornness, another`s insecurity and the third’s insubordination will cause a conflict in the middle of their escape. Fleeing from the enemy is always difficult, and the latter is perhaps closer than it may seem. In their battle against the outside world, they will end up facing the worst imaginable war, the one in which they have to confront their own fears, their destiny and their inner world.
El viaje del veronal draws attention to the harsh and confusing reality of those who cannot escape from their own mind; those whose memories continue to whistle like an unending howling; those prisoners without judgment and sentence. Those who are their own prisoners .
Teatro del Náufrago, created in 2015, takes us to the territories inhabited by questions, incomprehension, irreverence…by means of a particular form of making theatre, which allows us to question our real world through fiction.
