“This is the story of a friend, of an actor, to be precise. An actor who has worked in some plays and some well-known films (Ocho apellidos vascos and El niño, amongst others). So, will you recognize him?” I don’t think so. He was always in films that millions of people saw, and he only said a few words. But don’t think that he was dissatisfied with his roles. Not at all. However, one day everything went wrong. That’s life. It happens to many people. And sooner or later, it happens to all of us. And then, what? I wrote this piece because when Abel told me everything that had happened to him, I thought: This is a story that is worth telling. And I also thought: who can tell it better than he can?
Antonio Álamo has premiered more than fifty plays that have been recognised with dozen of awards, such as the Tirso de Molina Award and the Premi Born. He has also produced and directed other works, such as La copla negra, in coproduction with CDN, and the El pintor de batallas, by Arturo Pérez-Reverte. Sí, a todo is his last theatrical project.
