A cuentagotas are two stories told with different puppetry techniques. The first one, with a table, a rod and a glove, is the story of Cristóbal y el buen atún nadador de Bolonia [Cristobal and the good tuna swimmer of Bologna]. The second story, Juanaca el de la vaca y la aventura del Chímpete Chámpata [Juana, the one with the cow and the adventure of Chimpete Champata], is told with glove puppets. And the bludgeon is replaced with verbal ingenuity.
The puppeteer group La Gotera de Lazotea was founded in 1981 in Jerez. Since then, the company has produced 27 shows, with which it has participated in the main theatrical networks of Spain, and in numerous Spanish and international festivals and fairs. Its creative proposals are didactic, original and entertaining, and have been awarded numerous prizes. A live alternative to virtual entertainment, and above all, a guarantee of diversion based on more than forty years of professional experience.
In 2013 the company won the Galicrequesa Prize for its career, line of work and commitment to puppet theatre.
