Light travels at a speed of 300,000 km from the sun. I recommend a distance of 150,000,000 km before reaching the earth. It takes 8 minutes… to travel those 150,000,000 km, crash into the elm tree on Calle del Omo in my village and produce shade that is so clear that you distinguish the blackbird in a nest on the tree’s highest branches. Don’t you think this is awesome?
aLUZina is a magic theatre show in which we will reflect, through magic, humanity’s relationship with light and the play of shadows that it causes, on how to conserve our capacity for astonishment.
Nacho Diago began his artistic career as a magician at a very young age. He performed in the most prestigious festivals of magic in Spain until 2005, when he became Champion of Spain after winning first prize at the 27th National Magic Convention. His shows, full of games and humour, are a merger of all theatrical disciplines (puppets, physical theatre, object theatre…), in which ordinary, everyday objects become something magical and unexpected.
