He wants to perform classical music and she wants to play rock&roll. A duo like that one is bound to fail! This mixture of interests will involve impossible situations for the performers, with the sheet music flying at the rhythm of the giraffe-unicycle. Even the funambulist will have to get dressed on the tightrope. We will listen to classical composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and Vivaldi, and original compositions based on modern styles like funk and jazz performed with bounce juggling, creating a symbiosis of music, visual arts and circus.
The company Solfasirc was founded in Barcelona in 2005 with the objective of merging music and circus. Its members come from different countries and have different artistic training. The five shows it has created to date have toured Spain, France, Italy and Switzerland, with more than 500 performances. The company is currently focused on researching new circus instruments.
